We have some dear friends from Hawaii. Lots and lots of them, all very dear. But two in particular come to mind... because they spent their vacation time in Oregon and invited us to come along for a ski trip.
And it was awesome!
Well, it was awesome up until the point where I suddenly, and painfully, realized my skiing ability has regressed 10+ years. Boo! Small price to pay for all the awesomeness of the weekend...
When Sue saw me she jumped up and give me a super huge tight hug. Man, I love that girl. The drive was a dream with good company, snacks, and random songs from Sue. Evenings were spent in the hot tub with beer and wine, and good stories. Food, food, and more food. Laughs, and plans for the future. It felt so good to be surrounded by friends.
